Mike's practice concentrates in the areas of personal injury, insurance coverage, insurance defense, commercial, medical malpractice and utility litigation. Mike also has an active adoption practice.

The majority of Mike's practice involves representing defendants and insurance companies in litigation.  However, he has also gained good perspective by representing numerous plaintiffs in personal injury and commercial claims.

Mike graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in social work. He received his law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1980.

Mike's community activities include previously serving on the Eau Claire Area School District board; as a volunteer coach and judge for the Wisconsin State Bar Mock Trial tournament; instructor for Junior Achievement; recreational soccer coach; and classroom guest lecturer in local middle and high schools on law related issues. Mike was one of the individuals who helped develop the Eau Claire County Bar Association Free Legal Clinic, and is an active participant in both the Eau Claire County and Chippewa County Bar Association Free Legal Clinics.
