Nakisha Chaney is an attorney primarily practicing employment and civil rights litigation.
As a law student at the University of Michigan School of Law, Ms. Chaney was a member of the Child Advocacy Law Clinic, interned at the American Civil Liberties Union, Michigan and was a summer associate at Dickinson Wright PLLC. She was also a member of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law. After graduating from law school, Ms. Chaney clerked for two years at the Michigan Supreme Court and thereafter joined Dickinson Wright as an associate specializing in commercial and consumer protection litigation. Throughout her career, Ms. Chaney has also worked with numerous nonprofits including the National Employment Law Project, the ACLU, Michigan, Amnesty International USA and the University of Michigan Human Trafficking Law Project. In 2012, Ms. Chaney joined Nacht Law, where she represents clients in employment and civil rights actions.
Ms. Chaney is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the Eastern District of Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
She is married to Adisa N. Chaney and has two beautiful children.
