Julia Z. Nikolaev obtained her LL.M. in U.S. Legal Studies degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law and is admitted to the California Bar. She also possesses Bachelor of Law and Juris Doctor degree from Perm State University, Russia, and is admitted to practice law in Russia. Ms. Nikolaev has extensive experience in Immigration and Nationality Law working in family- and employment-based immigration. Areas of her expertise include all categories of temporary work visas: Specialty Occupation (H-1), Intracompany Transferee (L-1), Trade NAFFTA (TN), Exchange Visitor (J-1), Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement (O-1), and Athletes, Artists and Entertainers (P-1). She also has a keen understanding of PERM labor certifications, Outstanding Researcher and Multinational Manager Immigrant petitions and Adjustment of Status applications. Ms. Nikolaev has first-hand experience with U.S. immigration laws and procedures having immigrated to the United States in 2000. She has an understanding of the fears and frustrations of the complex immigration process as well as the rewards for achieving "green card" status. This experience, its challenges and complications, became the main reason why Ms. Nikolaev chose to pursue immigration law career to assist others to get through the immigration process smoothly and with the least problems possible. Ms. Nikolaev is a member of the Eastern European Bar Association of Northern California. She is fluent in Russian.
