Dr. Lynda Nguyen's intellectual property practice is focused on patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling of clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device industries. Her litigation practice encompasses pre-suit investigations, trial strategy development, discovery, preparation of expert witnesses, claim construction, and trial preparation. Lynda's client counseling activities include due diligence evaluations of patent portfolios, analyzing the validity of patents, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2004, Lynda worked as an associate with the biotechnology group at Pennie & Edmonds LLP and as a law clerk with Hancock, Rothert and Bunshoft LLP, where she wrote and published an electronic digest summarizing current news and issues related to intellectual property law. Lynda has published in the journals Science and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, among others, related to her undergraduate and graduate research in the fields of plant molecular biology and molecular endocrinology.
Lynda is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
