James Nations' practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including multiparty matters involving federal and state securities claims and shareholder derivative actions. He also has assisted in the defense of companies in SEC enforcement actions. His experience includes addressing and managing the many issues related to the collection and production of electronic discovery materials.

Prior to joining Jones Day, James represented defendants in professional liability litigation, with an emphasis on suits against mental health care professionals.

James is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association.
