Mike Neue concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization and commercial litigation. He has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, landlords, trustees and committees in connection with bankruptcy cases, foreclosure actions, receiverships, adversary proceedings and related commercial litigation.
His experience in numerous chapter 11 cases, including both privately and publicly held entities, encompasses initial filing through successful reorganizations. Mr. Neue has handled all aspects of a chapter 11 ranging from "first day" motions needed to prevent an interruption in business operations after filing for bankruptcy, through day-to-day case management, and ultimately plan reorganization. He advises on the variety of issues that arise in insolvency cases including negotiations with creditor constituencies, development of key reorganization strategies and preparation of disclosure statements and approved plans of reorganization. He has also handled litigation of contested matters and complaints in bankruptcy and state courts throughout California.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, BS and University of Southern California, JD 1995, Mr. Neue served as a law clerk and judicial extern to the Honorable Samuel L. Bufford, United States Bankruptcy Judge, Central District of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice in the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
