Linda M. Nakamura has been practicing Juvenile Dependency Law for 28 years. She is familiar with
the Children's Court in Monterey Park, where she served as an attorney on the panel of Court-appointed
attorneys for children and parents and also was retained privately for clients. She has won two unpublished
Court of Appeals decisions.

She is a graduate of the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Barristers Trial Advocacy Project (TAP), an extensive
trial skills program, and a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College in 2011, which was created by noted attorney
Gerry Spence.

She is pro-active in trying to change our immigration laws. Every year she travels to Washington, D.C. to lobby members of the Senate and House of Representatives about important immigration issues.

She served as the Past Chair of the State Bar of California Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission, Past Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Assn. Southern California Chapter, Past Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Section and serve currently on their Executive Committee, and currently serves on the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Litigation Section Inn of Court Executive Committee.

Linda has lectured for various groups about Immigration and Nationality Law, lecture bi-annually for the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Training Course sponsored by the Immigration Legal Assistance Project, Co-chaired various American Immigration Lawyers Assn. conferences, most currently served as a Day Coordinator for the American Immigration Lawyers Assn.'s Fundamentals Conference in Anaheim, CA., in 2008.

She mentors newer lawyers in the field of immigration law and set up networking groups for immigration lawyers in the Los Angeles area for the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. Immigration Law Section.
