EDUCATION
A native of Franklinton, Louisiana, Lonny A. Myles was born on September 12, 1947. A 1965 Franklinton High School graduate, Lonny was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" by his classmates. As an undergraduate at Louisiana State University, Lonny was a member of the L.S.U. Football Team, President of the L.S.U. Chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Song Director for Campus Crusades for Christ. He earned his Juris Doctorate from L.S.U. Law Center and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1973.
COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY
A true believer in the importance of community and education, Lonny has pledged his time and efforts to various local civic and philanthropic activities. Lonny served as President of the L.S.U. Chapter of Tangipahoa Tigers, L.S.U. "L" Club, Zachary Chamber of Commerce, and the Zachary Sausage Festival. Further, Lonny has coached various baseball teams, served as President of the Zachary High School Bronco Backers and has been the Friday night "Voice of the Bronco Football" for nearly fifteen years. Lonny is also a founding member of The People's Church here in Zachary where he teaches Sunday school and directs the music program. Lonny was elected Zachary City Court Judge in 1994. Since his election, he has continuously served our community from the bench.
Lonny was instrumental in the founding of the Zachary Community School Board, tirelessly devoting countless hours of pro bono legal service to its creation. Moreover, Lonny has served the Zachary community through sponsorship of fundraising events such as the Zachary Kiwanis Golf Tournament, the Zachary Relay for Life and the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Golf Tournament for many years. Lonny has also demonstrated his commitment to the community by making annual donations to Zachary Community Helpers, providing Christmas gifts to needy children. He is also a major contributor to the Zachary Sidewalk Project. Likewise, he has sponsored the Zachary High Century Club, March of Dimes and various sports teams in our area including ZHS football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls track and cross country, baseball, Softball, golf and Little Dribblers.
FAMILY
Lonny is married to Judy Johnson Myles and the father of three children, Jamey, Heidi and Bevan. Judy and Lonny are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Matthew, Julia, Jillian and Jacie.
