Tiana Mykkeltvedt represents clients in complex commercial litigation, including business torts, class actions, professional liability and arbitrations. Her practice encompasses a wide range of complex litigation, including, for example, disputes involving malpractice claims against a national accounting firm; a class action alleging violation of securities law, fraud, mismanagement and Georgia RICO claims arising from investment in an internet private equity fund; arbitration before the National Futures Association; and class action arbitration before the American Arbitration Association. Tiana’s experience includes the coordination of parties and counsel in the United States and abroad on related litigation, including counsel in New York, Philadelphia, the Cayman Islands and Singapore.
Tiana serves as national litigation counsel for a Georgia-based medical software company. In that role she advises, supervises and coordinates litigation across the country. When the company was sued for breach of contract in federal district court, as lead counsel Tiana obtained summary judgment in favor of the company including a ruling that the plaintiff breached the contract and the only remaining issue for trial was the amount of the company’s damages on its counterclaim. The case resulted in a confidential settlement.
In addition to her work for the firm, Tiana serves as a committee member for the State Bar of Georgia’s BASICS program, which assists participants in avoiding additional jail time through the provision of guidance, job training and employment counseling.
