Experience.

Julie Nelson has been successfully defending a full range of criminal cases and appeals since 2004. She has litigated hundreds of cases, including charges of manslaughter, domestic assault, sale/possession of controlled substances, criminal sexual conduct, felony theft, white-collar crimes such as tax evasion and mortgage fraud, child endangerment, DWI offenses, and traffic violations. She also represents juveniles charged with criminal offenses, and parents in CHIPS (child protection) cases.

Leadership.

Julie Nelson lectures to various professional groups on a wide range of criminal law topics. She has served as Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section. She is also a member of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Warren E. Burger Inn of Court.
