As a National Merit Scholar, Mr. Myers attended the University of Redlands on a full academic scholarship, graduating on the Dean's list in 1991 with a double major in philosophy & psychology. He then worked as an escrow officer in the San Fernando Valley for three years while considering what form of graduate education to pursue. He eventually settled on law school.
In 1997, Mr. Myers graduated from U.C., Davis, School of Law in the top 10% of his class. During law school, Mr. Myers was editor-in-chief of the law school's newspaper, he worked as an intern at the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and he worked as an extern for the Honorable Garland E. Burrell, a U.S. District Judge who was at that time handling the 'Unabomber' trial.
Following law school, Mr. Myers practiced civil litigation at Lionel, Sawyer & Collins in Las Vegas, Nevada for six years. Mr. Myers then returned to Los Angeles, where he briefly ran the San Fernando Valley Injury Law Center before taking his present position.
Mr. Myers has a broad range of civil litigation experience having worked on disputes in state and federal court, in arbitration, in administrative proceedings and on appeal. His cases have included commercial and contract disputes, personal injury cases and professional negligence cases. More recently, Mr. Myers has focused primarily on appellate law, legal malpractice, and representation of health care and mental health providers in a variety of contexts. In addition, a significant portion of his case load includes personal injury matters.
When not working, Mr. Myers enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, travel, and playing tournament poker, among other pursuits.
