Sam Najim practices in the areas of intellectual property litigation and counseling, including matters related to patents, trademarks, unfair competition, trade secrets, and covenants not to compete. He has litigated and tried cases in the intellectual property field in federal courts throughout the United States. Sam has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of telecommunications as a result of a number of representations. Most recently, Sam has been acting as lead counsel for 12 defendants in In re Katz Interactive Call Processing Patent Litigation. This is one of the largest patent MDL proceedings to date and involves numerous patents, defendants, and original courts. Sam heads the intellectual property practice in Jones Day's Atlanta Office and is also a frequent speaker and commentator on intellectual property topics.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Licensing Executives Society.
