Doug Muth's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and technology disputes, with particular emphasis on patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation involving satellite communication technology, interactive television program guides, digital modulation techniques, and on-demand video delivery. Doug also has assisted in litigation involving patent and trade secret disputes covering electrical transmission using composite materials, a high-stakes arbitration involving a patent licensing dispute, and rendering advice to clients entering into defense contracts with the federal government.
Doug also maintains an active pro bono practice, which principally includes representation of disadvantaged clients suffering from the recent mortgage and financial crisis.
Doug is a member of American Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section) and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
Prior to practicing law, Doug developed extensive experience in the oil refining, specialty chemical, and upstream oil exploration consulting industries.
