Nancy Mullikin joined Brayton Purcell as an associate attorney in early 2011. She is active in our Asbestos Bankruptcy Claims department at our Novato, California Office where she reviews and processes asbestos disease claims against asbestos companies that have entered bankruptcy.
Ms. Mullikin attended Golden Gate University School of Law, graduating with Honors on the Dean’s List, in the top nine percent of her class in May 2010. While in law school, she received the Witkin Award for Property II, the CALI Award for Constitutional Law II, the CALI Award for Sexual Orientation and the Law, and the CALI Award for Criminal Litigation. Ms. Mullikin has been published in the Golden Gate University Environmental Law Journal in an article entitled “Holding the ‘Responsible Corporate Officer’ Responsible: Addressing the Need for Expansion of Criminal Liability for Corporate Environmental Violators” (3 Golden Gate U. Envtl. L.J. 395 (2010)).
Before joining Brayton Purcell, Ms. Mullikin worked in the legal field for many years starting as a legal assistant for Bradley Welton, Attorney at Law, while in high school. She went on to work as an administrative assistant for the Law Offices of Fluss & Skelton while attending Sonoma State University to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree. During her law studies at Golden Gate University, she worked as a Legal Process Specialist for the Marin County District Attorney = s Office and a volunteer Certified Law Student litigating various motions. Prior to joining the legal team at Brayton Purcell, Ms. Mullikin worked as a volunteer attorney researching various estate planning, probate and property related matters.
Ms. Mullikin is a member of the Sonoma County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Mullikin is admitted to practice law in the state of California and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
