Michael A. Myers graduated from Tulane University (1967) and Washington University School of Law (1970). He became a partner with the law firm of Sorling, Northrup, Hanna, Cullen & Cochran, Ltd. in 1979, and concentrates his practice in the area of real estate related matters.
Mr. Myers has extensive experience in real estate transaction and zoning law. He regularly appears on zoning matters before the Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission and the Springfield City Council. Mr. Myers has successfully prosecuted cases before the circuit courts when zoning reclassification has been disapproved or challenged. Mr. Myers has served clients with regard to a wide variety of real estate transactions, including subdivision, mortgage, mechanic's lien foreclosure, leasing and condemnation matters. Mr. Myers serves as a Special Assistant Illinois Attorney General for condemnation cases. He co-authored "Illinois Mortgage Foreclosures" published by Professional Education Systems, Inc.
