Myers, Mark A.

Lisa Mueller is a partner in Michael Best's Intellectual Property Practice Group and a member of the Life Sciences Industry Group. Ms. Mueller has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical areas. In her practice, Ms. Mueller regularly drafts and prosecutes patent applications involving genomics, proteomics, immunology, diagnostic assays, pharmaceuticals, green chemicals and bi-products, agricultural products, plants, polymer science, and nutritional products. Additionally, she is experienced at drafting licenses and preparing non-infringement, validity and freedom-to-operate opinions. She also has experience in evaluating, filing and securing trademarks, particularly in the pharmaceutical and life sciences area.

For 10 years, she has worked closely on-site with in-house legal departments of international pharmaceutical companies, handling a variety of patent and freedom-to-operate matters, providing training to new in-house counsel and meeting with scientists and other personnel regarding various other intellectual property matters. Through these arrangements, Ms. Mueller has developed experience regarding FDA issues.
