Mark serves as the primary tax attorney for the firm, advising on all aspects tax law, including federal partnership and corporate tax and Washington state business and occupations, real estate excise and sales tax matters. As part of his practice he structures real estate development transactions, private equity and real estate investment funds and business acquisitions and dispositions. He has represented start-up companies, public corporations, private equity funds, tax-exempt organizations, public pension funds, real estate owners, developers and managers on transactional matters involving federal and state tax law. He also represents clients from outside the state, including several large public corporations, in Washington state and local tax disputes with the Department of Revenue.
