Michael L. Moskowitz , appearing as an attorney before the state and federal courts for more than twenty five years, has practiced primarily in the areas of debtor's rights and creditor's remedies in business and individual reorganization and liquidation cases. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in January 1982. While in law school, Mr. Moskowitz was selected to serve on the Student Admissions Committee.
Prior to his admission to practice, Mr. Moskowitz served as a legal intern to the Honorable Roy Babitt, United States Bankruptcy Judge. He also served as a contributing editor to Bankruptcy Lawyers Bar Association Bulletin and had been a member of the subcommittee which formulated local bankruptcy rules for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. He presently serves as a member of American Bankruptcy Institute, Bankruptcy Lawyers Bar Association and New York State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Bankruptcy Litigation Committee of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. He is also a member of the Attorneys Association of the New York State Credit Union League, Inc. and the Nassau County Bar Association, where he is a member of the Bankruptcy Law Committee and on the Bankruptcy Referral Panel. Mr. Moskowitz is also a member of the Executive's Association of New York City and was elected to a three-year term on its Board of Directors in 2007.
Mr. Moskowitz has been a member in good standing of the New York bar since 1982, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
