Cassandra E. Mougin obtained her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from California Western School of Law in May of 2000. While attending law school, Cassandra was Notes and Comments Editor of the California Western Law Review and California Western International Law Journal. She earned the American Jurisprudence Award for Civil Procedure and maintained a scholastic merit scholarship. Cassandra also participated in trial advocacy programs for disadvantaged local high school students.

Prior to working at Pettit Kohn, Cassandra practiced as a litigation attorney at two San Diego law firms, focusing on school law, insurance law, and real estate and construction matters. Cassandra’s litigation practice focuses on premises liability, professional malpractice, real estate, and corporate litigation, as well as insurance law.
