Keri Lynn Morris joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in October, 2005. Her practice is devoted to Delaware workers' compensation, Delaware employment law defense (including discrimination and whistleblower protection), and federal employment law defense.
Keri has handled over 200 workers' compensation matters in her career to date, and she has taken approximately 100 cases to hearing. She has represented a considerable number of automobile assembly plants as well as nursing homes.
During law school, Keri worked for the Delaware Department of Labor, handling a wide variety of employment law issues. She investigated allegations of employment discrimination and wage and hour violations, including alleged prevailing wage violations and child labor violations. She was involved in the drafting and implementation of the Clean Indoor Air Act Regulations for no smoking in Delaware workplaces. Keri also assisted with the drafting of the Wage Payment and Collection Act Regulations for the payment of wages by using a debit card. She was also involved in the process to amend the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act in 2004, when the statute was re-written to more closely follow the federal employment discrimination statutes.
Keri is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Keri attended Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While attending Widener University School of Law, she worked for the Delaware Department of Labor in the Office of Labor Law Enforcement, handling a variety of labor law and civil rights cases. Keri later worked as an associate at a firm in Wilmington, Delaware, where her practice concentrated primarily in employment law matters.
Keri serves as an advisor for the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority at the University of Delaware.
