Mullen, Laurie Phillips

Michelle is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Her labor and employment practice concentrates on representing and counseling public and private employers. Michelle's litigation and labor arbitration experience includes defending management in employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, wage and hour, tort, ERISA, and labor union cases and representing companies in noncompetition, restrictive covenant, and employee raiding matters. Michelle's counseling experience includes advising clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including company policies; employment contracts; separation and release agreements; management decisions regarding hiring, discipline, and termination of employees; workforce restructuring; litigation avoidance; and compliance with federal and state employment laws.

In addition, Michelle has substantial experience in appellate litigation. She has represented clients in matters involving tort claims, arbitration agreements, employment discrimination claims, and ERISA issues. Michelle also has significant experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. She has represented clients in matters involving breach of contract and complex telecommunications issues.

Michelle is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. She serves on the board of directors of Northaven Co-operative Preschool.
