Before coming to MMLK, Mr. Morgan tried 148 jury trials throughout Kentucky. One valuable lesson learned from that experience is that there are many other ways to achieve a fair result for a client besides going to trial. During the course of his career, Mr. Morgan has developed many innovations in presentation techniques. In addition to these classes teaching basics in visual aids at trial, Mr. Morgan has also taught a CLE class on Administrative Law at the 2010, and 2011 KBA conventions.
Mr. Morgan has conducted several administrative hearings and has represented state agencies (the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission) and persons charged by various state agencies (the Executive Branch Ethics Commission, the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, and the Department of Charitable Gaming). Mr. Morgan also has considerable experience in issues involving Kentucky Open Records Act and Open Meetings Act.
Mr. Morgan also uses his understanding of administrative law and litigation in general to conduct mediations between parties.
