Ms. Morales represents a variety of companies in intellectual property litigation, including both plaintiffs and defendants in trademark, copyright, and patent matters. Ms. Morales drafts dispositive and other motions, including summary judgment motions, motions for discovery and motions for injunctive relief. She researches substantive issues, such as admission of expert witnesses, patent invalidity and likelihood of confusion.
Ms. Morales' work also includes trademark prosecution, from the application stage through post-registration. Her prosecution duties also include conducting clearance searches and advising clients in their decisions to adopt specific marks. She has drafted and assisted in pleadings and discovery before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
In addition, Ms. Morales represents trademark owners in all phases of Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy proceedings. Ms. Morales drafts UDRP complaints and other pleadings, and regularly interacts with World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center and National Arbitration Forum case managers, domain owners, and domain registrars to assist clients in obtaining and policing domain names containing clients' trademarks.
