Garrett M. Moore Sr. was admitted to the State of Connecticut and Federal Court Bars in 1981. He was educated at the University of Connecticut (B.S., 1978, summa cum laude) and received his Law Degree from Georgetown University in 1981. He is a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 - 1975.

Mr. Moore has been certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy for the past twenty years and is recognized in the Best Lawyers in America in the field of personal injury litigation. He became a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1998 and has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates for the past fifteen years. He is currently serving as President Elect of the American Board of Trial Advocates having previously served as its Treasurer. Mr. Moore has been a member of Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association since 1981, and has served as its Treasurer, Vice President and President (1993 to 1994). He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association since 1985. He was appointed by Governor John G. Rowland to serve as a member of the Criminal Justice Commission, which hires all prosecutors for the Division of Criminal Justice for the State of Connecticut. He was appointed by Chief Justice Francis McDonald to the Civil Justice Commission, which oversees reforms to the Connecticut Civil Justice system. Prior to founding the firm of Moore, O'Brien, Jacques & Yelenak, Mr, Moore was a partner of Carmody & Torrance where he chaired that firm's plaintiffs practice. He is rated AV (the highest rating possible) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Attorney Moore is an active lecturer in the field of trial practice. He is a special master for the State Superior Courts and the Federal Courts and is an arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Courts.

Mr., Moore limits his practice to civil trial advocacy in the State and Federal Courts, specifically negligence, malpractice, product liability, automobile collisions, construction accidents, and aviation disasters. He has handled cases in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Colorado, Florida and California. He has handled appeals in the Connecticut Supreme Court. He has also been named as one of the top 100 lawyers in all of the New England States, He was named in the Connecticut Magazine as one of Connecticut's top 10 lawyers in the personal injury field. He has been named a "Super Lawyer" for many years and has been listed as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for over a decade.

Mr. Moore's significant court cases include acting as one of several lead counsel in a $45,000,000.00 Class Action settlement regarding the collapse of the L'Ambiance Plaza in 1987. He was appointed and served as a special master by both the State and Federal Courts in resolving the claims against Probate Judge Nahley, who embezzled millions from his clients. He has tried over 100 civil cases to verdict. He has been involved in more than 100 settlements and awards in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Mr. Moore, himself a pilot, became involved in aviation litigation in 1988 when he was appointed by the Colorado Federal Court to resolve claims stemming from a crash occurring at the Stapleton International Airport in Denver. Since that time, he has handled cases for victims of the Value Jet crash in Florida, the TWA disaster in Long Island, the Alaskan Airline cases in California and many other claims involving small and light aircraft crashes. He acted as a coordinator for Connecticut attorneys representing victims from the air disasters and terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001
