Stacey Misenko joined Fead Construction Law in May 2011, bringing a diverse background in litigation and construction experience.
Since joining the firm, Stacey has assisted commercial construction and development entities, subcontractors, and owners in negotiation, mediation, and litigation matters. She has also assisted clients in resolving disputes with differing site conditions and extra work payments involving the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
Prior to joining Fead Construction Law, Stacey was a litigation attorney in Washington D.C. and Vermont focusing on SEC violations and FTC investigations. There are strong international aspects to Stacey’s trial practice as well. In addition to a broad understanding of public international law, she served for five months on a prosecution team at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (The Hague, Netherlands), prosecuting three Bosnian-Serb military and political commanders for atrocities committed against Bosnian-Muslims and Bosnian-Croats in the early 1990's. At Fead Construction Law, her experitise in construction matters stems from working with her family’s institutional, commercial, and residential construction management and general contracting business based in Central New York.
Stacey was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and she is a graduate of Vermont Law School (J.D. 2003) and New York University (B.A. 1998, Economics). She is licensed to practice as an attorney in the States of New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Bar Association, its ADR Section and the Forum on the Construction Industry, and the Vermont Bar Association.
Stacey lives in Central Vermont with her husband, Darren, also an attorney with the firm, and their two sons.
