LEAH D. MITCHELL completed her undergraduate studies at Texas State University.Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship with the Texas Senate in Austin.

Leah continued her studies and received her Paralegal Certificate in 1989. For the next seven years she worked as a Paralegal for the prestigious law firms of Royston Rayzor Vickory & Williams, Looper Reed Mark & McGraw and Glickman Herlong & Hughes. This provided an excellent opportunity to gain litigation experience in the Harris County District Courts. Leah is a graduate of South Texas College of Law, where she received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1999.

After graduation, Leah and Lanelle O’Connell founded Mitchell & O’Connell, Attorneys and Counselors at Law. She then continued her career as a Sole Practitioner and Owner of the Law Office of Leah D. Mitchell. Leah was inducted into the College of the State Bar, an Honorary Society Chartered by the Supreme Court of Texas, in 2005.
