Aaron Miner's practice focuses on financial services litigation, white collar defense, and complex commercial litigation.
Since joining Kaye Scholer, Mr. Miner has developed experience representing a number of major international financial institutions in adversary proceedings arising from leveraged financing transactions. Mr. Miner has also represented asset management firms, broker-dealers, and other companies in connection with civil securities actions and criminal and regulatory investigations. Mr. Miner was a member of the Kaye Scholer litigation team that recently won early dismissal of $1.28 billion in fraud and breach of contract claims against AstraZeneca AB in the case Verus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. v. AstraZeneca AB in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Mr. Miner served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frederick J. Scullin, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Mr. Miner received his B.A. in political science from the University of Rochester. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School, where he was executive editor of the New York Law School Law Review, member of the Moot Court Association, and a John Marshall Harlan Scholar. He is a member of the bars of the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Miner is the author of the comment Burda Media, Inc. v. Viertel, 51 N.Y.L. SCH. L. REV. 431 (2007).
