David Miller has broad experience in commercial litigation in state and federal courts including matters involving energy commodities, securities, antitrust, and tax. David has significant experience in matters involving the Commodity Exchange Act and Energy Policy Act of 2005 including regulatory enforcement and criminal actions involving allegations of market manipulation and false reporting of energy transactions brought by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Department of Justice, state agencies, and private civil litigants. He also has been involved in a number of significant Jones Day representations including congressional, regulatory, and grand jury investigations and multijurisdictional litigation involving banking and government contracting in the United States and abroad. In addition, David has significant experience in conducting foreign discovery in venues around the world including Europe, Asia, and Africa. Clients represented in public matters include BP America, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, CenterPoint Energy, Chevron Corporation, First American Bankshares, General Motors Corporation, Interquisa Canada, OGE Energy, Standard Insurance Company, and WorldSpace Corporation.
