Kat Meyer's practice includes complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. She has been involved in cases covering a broad range of litigation matters, including securities, contract disputes, class actions, and fraud in the technology, pharmaceutical, and health care industries. She also has experience in Department of Justice and SEC investigatory proceedings. Kat's experience includes all aspects of litigation, including complex discovery and motion practice, pretrial preparation, trial, and post-trial practice. Kat has participated in the successful denial of class certification in a case arising from the alleged failure of a national mortgage company to properly apply mortgage payments and in the representation of a pharmaceutical company and certain current and former officers and directors in a stock option backdating derivative suit and audit committee internal investigation.

Most recently, Kat worked on a team representing a major computer technology and IT consulting corporation accused of breach of contract and fraud. In particular, Kat was tasked with overseeing the discovery process, including document preservation, collection, review, and production. She consulted with vendors and advised in-house counsel on e-discovery issues and the company's obligations under the federal rules.

Kat is also active in pro bono matters through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP).
