A lifelong New York City attorney and resident, Allan S. Meyers has spent his life and career helping others. For more than five decades, Allan S. Meyers has been taking care of his fellow New Yorkers.
Upon graduation from New York University, Allan S. Meyers was drafted into the United States Army. Noticed for his intellect and fortitude, he was given the honor of teaching Army Operations to his fellow soldiers and superior officers who were headed for missions overseas. After fulfilling his duty, Allan S. Meyers received an Honorable Discharge, so he could come home and attend Brooklyn Law School.
Allan S. Meyers legal career has taken him to many wonderful places. After law school, he immediately went into private practice where he learned his craft.
Soon after, he was offered a position with the State of New York as an Assistant Attorney General. His years with the State of New York were spent in various managerial positions, working on high profile cases for the Trust and Estates and Charitable Foundations Divisions for the Attorney General.
His work with the State of New York was followed by an appointment as Managing Attorney, and later Inspector General, for the New York City Corporation Counsel's office under the Mayor.
Allan S. Meyers later spent four years as the Head of the Brooklyn Torts Division working on thousands of civil cases, before returning to private practice in 1981.
Following in his footsteps, and their maternal grandfather's footsteps, Allan S. Meyers' two sons also became practicing attorneys. He is very proud to have shown his sons the joy of helping others as a legal professional.
