OSSAI MIAZAD, an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, represents employees individually and in class actions, in all areas of employment law.
Before joining Outten & Golden LLP, Ms. Miazad represented employees at a plaintiff-side firm in Washington D.C.
Ms. Miazad was the recipient of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights 2004 – 2005 George N. Lindsay Civil Rights Legal Fellowship during which she worked with the Employment Discrimination Project to challenge the systemic barriers faced by minorities and women in the workplace. While at the Lawyers' Committee she was also co-author on an amicus brief submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in support of petitioner in the disability and prisoners' rights case Goodman v. State of Georgia.
Prior to law school, Ms. Miazad worked as a campaign organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation.
Ms. Miazad received her B.A. from Vassar College and her J.D., with honors, from American University's Washington College of Law where she received the Public Interest-Public Service Scholarship Award. She is admitted to the New York State and District of Columbia bars.
