Ms. Mertes received her bachelor’s degree from the UCLA and her law degree from Ventura College of Law where she achieved the highest grades in Family Law, Legal Writing, Legal Research, and was a member and officer of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. Ms. Mertes is an active member in Ventura County and the legal community. She volunteers in the Woodland Hills and Conejo Legal Clinics. Additionally, Ms. Mertes has been a judge for the Ventura County Mock Trial Association.
