N. Marely (Ellie) Mercado, an associate at Berke-Weiss & Pechman LLP, graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2010. Ms. Mercado was Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal (2009-2010), as well as a student fellow with the Heyman Center on Corporate Governance, where she was awarded a Public Service Fellowship and two ACCA In-House Counsel Internships. At Cardozo, she concentrated in Intellectual Property and Communications Law. Her note, As Long at "It" is Not Counterfeit: Holding eBay Liable for Secondary Trademark Infringement in the Wake of LVMH and Tiffany, Inc., was published in 28 CARDOZO ARTS & ENT. L.J. 115 (2010). Ms. Mercado's prior legal experience includes working with the U.S. Department of Labor and Sony Music Entertainment. She graduated from Harvard University in 2005 with a B.A. in Social Anthropology. Ms. Mercado is admitted to practice law in New York. She is a native Spanish speaker.
