Mignogna, Melissa L.

Mr. Merritt focuses his practice primarily in litigation for clients involving a broad range of subject matters, including disputes over intellectual property, environmental claims, contracts, fraud, privacy rights, and employment terminations. He has worked as co-counsel in successfully defending a municipality against a multimillion-dollar CERCLA claim brought in the U.S. District Court. In addition, he has assisted in the successful prosecution of trademark and copyright infringement claims in federal court and of a multibillion-dollar antitrust action from California's energy crisis of 2000-2001.

His prior experience includes conducting and supervising the investigation of hundreds of plaintiffs in wrongful death and personal injury actions involving toxic tort and product liability claims;  conducting the investigations of complex business and securities fraud claims; and advising a variety of clients in taking steps to avoid litigation when possible and to reach creative and efficient solutions to disputes.
