Mickelson, Rick A

Mr. Merens is a graduate of Washington University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school in 1981, Mr. Merens joined the firm of Schwartz, Cooper, Kolb & Gaynor. In 1985, Mr. Merens became associated with Adelman & Gettleman, Ltd., and has concentrated in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, bankruptcy and reorganizations. On January 1, 1990, Mr. Merens became a principal of Adelman & Gettleman, Ltd. which then changed its name to Adelman, Gettleman & Merens, Ltd. Mr. Merens has had several articles published in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation and has participated in many significant Chapter 11 cases.

Most recently, in 2005, Mr. Merens was elected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of bankruptcy and reorganization.
