Emmanuel V. Meimaris graduated from Brandeis University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and minor areas of concentration in Soviet Studies and Legal Studies. He then studied abroad at Leningrad State University in the USSR from 1987 until 1988. After his return to the US, he worked in the private and non-profit sectors and in addition, taught English as a second language to foreigners. From 1990 until 1991 he was the program coordinator of an American/Soviet joint venture involving American dairy farming and agribusiness. He acted as the main liaison for trade and development with business leaders, academicians and policy-makers from various countries. Thereafter, he attended law school.
Emmanuel V. Meimaris obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the Massachusetts School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1994 and to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1995. He opened a solo general practice and, in a few years, established himself as a reputable legal counselor.
