Alana I. Mejias is a partner with Courtney, Clark & Associates, P.C.

Ms. Mejias concentrates her practice in family law, including cases involving custody, visitation, paternity and child support.

Ms. Mejias received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana in May 2004. Ms. Mejias was involved with student organizations including the Pre-Law Club and the American Advertising Federation. While attending the University of Illinois, Ms. Mejias volunteered at the Champaign-Urbana Humane Society.

Ms. Mejias received her Juris Doctorate in 2007 from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Society and served as the historian and president in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 respectively. Ms. Mejias was active in coordinating community service events including volunteering at soup kitchens, participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, and fundraising for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Ms. Mejias worked as a student attorney at the New England School of Law Clinical Law Office representing low-income clients in divorce and child support matters.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Ms. Mejias now resides in St. Louis, Missouri. She is admitted to practice law in Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Alana Mejias is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the St. Clair County Bar.
