Ms. McNally, formerly known as Leslie A. Goranson, came to the firm with an extensive successful background in Sales & Business Account Management and informal lobbying. Leslie currently practices in the areas of family law, residential real estate, estate planning, probate, and small business matters.
In all cases, she is an assertive legal advocate for her clients and a stickler for details. Leslie understands that each client is unique and has different needs, so she tailors her approach to fit each client's specific circumstances. While mindful of her client’s objectives and needs, she also considers the financial impacts of litigation. Thus, Leslie always provides straightforward explanations of legal options, risks and possible outcomes. In contested matters, she strongly believes most clients are best served by a negotiated settlement, and strives to equitably settle those matters through mediation, other forms of alternative dispute resolution, and open dialog between the parties.
Leslie received her B.S. from Winona State University and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Minnesota state courts. She is a past Co-Chair of the Ramsey County Bar Association Family Law Section, a recurring judge for the William Mitchell College of Law Negotiation Seminar, and teaches a Health Care Directives course for Saint Paul Community Education.
Leslie lives in Saint Paul with her wonderful husband and a very special cat. She is passionately interested in the past, present and future of the Mighty Mississippi River. She also enjoys discourse about politics at all levels of government and educating others on the nuances of legislative actions. She values opportunities to represent herself and other citizens and businesses by speaking at official public hearings and local governmental meetings, by meeting with State Legislators at the Capitol, and by filing informal property valuation appeals. She welcomes opportunities to champion for those who feel disenfranchised. BTW, she is also a past member of the Winona River City Rascals Clown Club, where she is still known as Pepper the Clown!
