Ms. McManus represents her clients' interests from the perspectives of an associate at a large law firm, an assistant prosecuting attorney in Wayne County, and as a career law clerk for Judge Bernard A. Friedman in the Eastern District of Michigan. After graduating from Boston University School of Law with high honors, Ms. McManus served as a term law clerk for Judge Friedman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Following her clerkship, she went on to work in private practice with Miller Canfield, PLC. While at Miller Canfield, Ms. McManus served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Wayne County, a city attorney in Brownstown, and handled a variety of commercial litigation matters. In 2006, Ms. McManus returned to the court to serve as Judge Friedman's career law clerk upon his elevation to Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Michigan. While there, she handled complex litigation matters including a nationwide MDL case, as well as employment, civil rights, patent, trademark and criminal matters. She returned to private practice at Dib and Fagan, P.C. in 2012, with a specific interest in advocating for individuals who experience discrimination and/or civil rights violations in the workplace.
