The main focus of Mr. McLoughlin's practice is estate planning and probate. In his estate planning practice, Mr. McLoughlin has significant experience in the preparation and administration of matters ranging from very basic wills to highly sophisticated wealth and family business transfers. Mr. McLoughlin has experience in all areas of probate law and estate tax matters, including resolution of contested cases in Probate Court and the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. McLoughlin also counsels clients on the formation and operation of closely held businesses, corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. Such advice involves preparation of shareholder/owner agreements, buy-sell agreements, employment and compensation agreements, and business sales and acquisitions. Mr. McLoughlin is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) having spent a considerable amount of his accounting practice assisting clients in the insurance, real estate development and retail food service industries.
