Anne M. McKinney has over 30 years of legal and tax experience. Ms. McKinney practices in the areas of probate, trusts, wills, nonprofit and charitable organizations, taxation, and business formation and planning. Before entering private practice, Ms. McKinney served as an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney with the IRS for 10 years. She practiced law in Knoxville, Tennessee for six years before opening her own firm in 1992.
Ms. McKinney co-authored Estate Planning in Tennessee, published by Pineapple Press in 1996, and Estate Planning in Tennessee, 2nd ed., published by Pro-Practice Press, Inc. in 2002. She continues to collaborate on publications. Active as a Fellow in the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsels (ACTEC), she has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law in Estate Planning and Wealth Transfer Tax at the University of Tennessee College of Law. She has also taught as an Adjunct Professor in Business Law at the University of Tennessee Undergraduate School.
