Edward (Ted) McNabola was selected in a survey of attorneys as one of the top 100 consumer attorneys in Illinois.
He has successfully handled hundreds of cases involving personal injury, medical negligence and class actions. His last four cases that went to trial resulted in jury verdicts totaling nearly $20 million and there were no settlement offers by the defense in any of these four cases.
Recent results include a verdict at trial of $7.5 million on behalf of a 49 year-old man who underwent a surgery to remove his spleen at UIC Medical Center. The surgeons used a robot called the DaVinic Robotic Surgical System and caused a puncture in an adjacent organ. There was no settlement offer at any time before this jury verdict.
McNabola also obtained $3.7 million verdict at trial for the family of a young woman who died as a result of negligent medical care. Also, Ted obtained a settlement in excess of $3.15 million for a Chicago Police Officer who suffered an injury to his eye resulting in partial loss of vision.
He and his colleagues at McNabola Law Group have obtained over $475 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients.
Mr. McNabola is an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern University School of Law, where he teaches Trial Advocacy. He is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Mr. McNabola was elected by his peers to the General Assembly of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
He is a frequent speaker and a published author on various trial practice issues.In 2002, he was selected by the Illinois Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 To Watch. He has been selected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer and a member of the Leading Lawyer Network since its inception.
Mr. McNabola joined McNabola Law Group following his employment with a prominent Chicago defense firm where he was responsible for defending catastrophic injury cases involving interstate trucking, personal injury, wrongful death, aviation, general negligence, product liability and premises liability.
Mr. McNabola graduated with honors from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and achieved a Master's Degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where he concentrated on jury selection and deliberation. He studied law in Innsbruck, Austria with the then-Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, William H. Rehnquist.
In 2008, Mr. McNabola received the honor of being admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court and was sworn in by Chief Justice, John H. Roberts.
