Adam L. McCoy graduated from the WVU College of Law in May, 2010, as a member of the Order of Barristers.  While in law school, Adam was a member of the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board and was honored by the WVU College of Law as a student of academic excellence.  During Adam's participation with the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board, he competed in the 2009 George C. Baker Cup Competition where he was named "Best Oral Advocate," and selected as the 2009 champion by the West Virginia Supreme Court of appeals, after oral arguments before the Court.  In addition, as a member of the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board National Team, Adam competed in an additional appellate advocay competition in Richmond, Virginia.  In 2010, Adam was the co-organizer of the Geroge C. Baker Cup Competition, and since 2011, has continued to participate in subsequent competitions.  Prior to law school, Adam attended West Virginia University where he graduated summa cum laude and as a University Honors Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  Adam was named an Eberly Scholar by the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences during his final two years of study at West Virginia University.

In October 2010, Adam began the practice of law with a Plaintiff's firm in Elkins, West Virginia, representing those injured or killed through the wrongful conduct of others.  In January 2013, Adam began practicing with the Manchin Injury Law Group.  Adam continues to practice primarily in the areas of personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, products liability, and wrongful death.
