Andrew Zausner is a partner at Dickstein Shapiro and is a member of the firm's Public Policy & Law Practice, with an emphasis on the firm's legislative activities. Since entering private practice, Mr. Zausner has served as counsel on a myriad of legislative issues with a primary focus on those that relate to energy and natural resources. Among the legislative issues that he has concentrated on are the Energy Policy Act of 1992, the National Energy Security Act of 1991, and the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. Mr. Zausner also has represented numerous private companies with specific legislative or regulatory problems including an airplane propeller manufacturer that was the subject of two Congressional investigations resulting from a catastrophic accident and an airport authority seeking the award of a foreign gateway. Moreover, Mr. Zausner directed the Washington aspects of two major natural resource companies' successful defenses against hostile takeovers.
