Dennis McCoy concentrates his practice in the areas of Medicaid Planning and Eligibility, Trusts and Estates, and Asset Protection. His legal skills are augmented by his health science background which he effectively uses to assist clients in securing necessary and critical health care services.
He is a member of the Elder Law committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association and a member of the Elder Law section of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. McCoy earned a Bachelors of Science and graduated Magna Cum laude in 1996 from Stony Brook University. where he was awarded the Student Leadership Award, the Health Science
Award for Excellence in Student Research and the Award for Outstanding Student in Clinical Chemistry. He obtained Board Certificates from The American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP, National Certification Agency (NCA), and is a New York State licensed Medical Technologist.
Mr. McCoy earned his Juris Doctorate as a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he was both a Faculty Fellow and in the Honor Society for Academic Excellence. His legal academic background is highlighted by the extensive number of academic achievement awards he received which included the CALI Academic Excellence Awards in Legal Methods I (Writing), the Legal Methods II (Best Oralist and Best Brief), Business Organizations, Property I, Pre-Trial litigation, Elder Law, and Moot Court Award for Outstanding Advocate.
Mr. McCoy is admitted to the practice of law in New York State.
