Yasmin Yanthis-Bailey practices labor and employment law. She concentrates on representing employers in federal and state court, defending against a wide variety of employment-related claims, including disputes subject to Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the National Labor Relations Act. She also has been instrumental in defending employers against nationwide class action lawsuits. Yasmin has also represented employers before the U.S. Department of Labor and state agencies in wage-hour administrative investigations and has counseled clients on wage and hour compliance. Yasmin has advised Fortune 500 companies regarding executive employment agreements, has counseled and provided training to clients on employment-related matters, and has represented clients before administrative agencies. She has also gained valuable experience working in the human resource departments of a large insurance company and a global investment bank.
Yasmin has been active in doing pro bono work with the Legal Aid Society and regularly volunteers at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. She is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of New York, and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Yasmin worked in the New York office of Dewey Ballantine.
