Mr. Wyles' practice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution and providing intellectual property counsel to individual inventors, entrepreneurs, and small companies. Terry has Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. In addition, Terry is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Nuclear-Power Training Program, after which he spent many years as a supervisor of nuclear-power-plant operations on a fast-attack submarine and as an instructor at the Naval Reactors Facility at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory.
Terry spent many years working in the nuclear-power industry, including within the U.S. Navy, U.S. Dept. of Energy Facilities, and some commercial utilities. Subsequent to his nuclear-industry career, he spent eight years working as a software engineer and/or architect in the IT and telecom industries. Terry's technical and engineering background is multi-disciplined, and he is adept in patent drafting in the electrical, mechanical, and software arts. He has also successfully prosecuted patents before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in a wide variety of disciplines.
In addition to being admitted to practice before the USPTO, Terry is also admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
