Joseph T. Wright, Jr., is one of the senior and founding members of Wright & Reihner. Mr. Wright graduated from the University of Scranton in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He obtained his law degree from Seton Hall University in 1980. After serving as a law clerk to a member of the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County and practicing for a number of years in the District Attorney's Office in Lackawanna County, with a prominent Scranton law firm, and with his own firm, Attorney Wright co-founded Wright & Reihner.
Mr. Wright's distinguished career has involved a variety of legal matters and litigation. Mr. Wright practices in the areas of employment discrimination, commercial litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, civil rights and general civil litigation in federal and state courts within Pennsylvania.
He has had substantial experience in employment discrimination cases, having tried to verdict or resolved over twenty cases. In addition, Mr. Wright is a certified mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, in which capacity he is frequently selected by the Court to mediate employment discrimination and other employment related matters due to his experience in the field.
In practicing over twenty years, Mr. Wright has had extensive trial and appellate experience. He has appeared before the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also appeared before numerous courts in Pennsylvania and numerous governmental agencies, including the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
