Clay Wortham joined McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland, PLLC in 2012 as an associate in our Health Care Law department. He provides health law regulatory and transactional advice to health care providers and related entities, including hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, health plans and physician groups. Clay also counsels non-health care clients doing business in the health care industry on compliance with laws impacting the health care arena, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA and state privacy laws, and corporate practice of medicine restrictions. He joins McBrayer from the Chicago office of Quarles & Brady LLP.
Clay was also corporate counsel with Walgreen Co. (2009-2012) where he advised with respect to fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid, and privacy issues for the Walgreens family of companies.
Clay has written several articles and delivered speeches on fraud and abuse, and privacy and security matters.
