Perry Woodward joined Terra Law in 2000.  He is a Partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group.

Mr. Woodward, who is admitted to the Bar in both California and Nevada, concentrates on litigation involving complex real estate, commercial and high technology disputes. His broad experience spans real estate cases involving land use, purchase and sale transactions, fraud and non-disclosure, construction, partition, easements, quiet title, slander of title, eminent domain, title insurance claims, foreclosure actions, brokerage commission claims, partnership dissolutions, and commercial lease disputes. He also regularly handles business litigation involving, for example, misappropriation of trade secrets, fraudulent transfers, unfair business practices, copyright, trademark and breach of contract cases. Mr. Woodward has substantial experience in jury and non-jury trials both state and federal in these matters, as well as appeals, binding arbitrations and mediations.  Before being admitted to the practice of law, Mr. Woodward was a real estate broker in Santa Clara County from 1989 to 1996.

Mr. Woodward's local community involvement is extensive.  He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), representing the cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy.  He also serves on the VTA's Administration and Finance Committee, as well as its Audit Committee  Elected in 2007, he serves as a council member on the Gilroy City Council, and he is the past-chair of that city's Open Government Commission.  He also sits on the Santa Clara County Emergency Preparedness Council.  Prior to assuming elected office, he served for six years as a judge pro tem for the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
